Temperatures proved higher than expected yesterday, but the air was a little cooler & fresher than on previous days, though generous supplies of sunshine helped to offset this.Much wetter today as far north as the Borders.

Winds will settle into the N or NE, with best temperatures only making about 14 or 15. Heavy rain spreading north through the Borders, some of it reaching this far later in the night.
