A WARM WELCOME TO PITLOCHRY WEATHER!

Much of the working week will be dominated by low pressure close to N.Scotland. It will often be windy (from the W.), cool, but with good dry spells, as most of the rain & showers will be concentrated over Western districts, especially the mountainous areas. Temperatures are likely to be well down in single figures overnight.

This afternoon & evening should be both drier & brighter, but one or two showers may manage to get through from the west. It will be windy, especially this afternoon, after the S or SW breeze this morning, turns more from the W. later on. The strength then, will often be around force 4 to 6. OVERNIGHT, it should be mainly dry with clear spells & winds easing off. Turning cool.

LOCAL AREA OUTLOOK

MONDAY & TUESDAY----Both days partly cloudy, though sometimes bright with some sunny intervals. The odd shower may manage to get across from the west, where shower activity will be much more in evidence. Temperatures will be pegged back to below normal maximum values, only reaching around 12 to 14 at best. Nights are expected to be chilly. It will continue to be breezy.
