Following a slight frost, the morning is starting sunny but nippy. Much of the morning should stay dry, but with time, cloud will start to bubble up, eventually giving showers in many places, though some lucky spots could escape most or all of these. Some of the showers could be heavy & thundery, with hail or sleet in them. On all higher ground, say above 400ms, snow will fall. TONIGHT, showers will gradually die out to give clear spells & in some places, a frost is likely.

YESTERDAY IN PITLOCHRYA mainly cloudy morning, with a spell of lightish rain. Thereafter, a few fleeting glimpses of the sun, but cloud bubbled up with a shower around 1600/1630hrs.

A depression is sitting close by NE Scotland, leaving the country in a showery, though light NW airstream. Most ground above 400m will see some snow in the showers.
TOMORROW'S FORECAST FOR PITLOCHRYWinds straight from the N so feeling very fresh in the force 3 or 4 wind. Some sunshine initially, following a chilly night. Cloud then bubbling up(cumulus & cumulonimbus) to give some sharp showers, perhaps with sleet/hail/thunder. Some lucky spots could miss all or most of these.
