3 MAYS in the last 35yrs weren't as warm
RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURES
The 26th & 27th both reached 21.7
In the summer of 2011 (June1 to Aug 31)
Only 5 days were warmer than 21.7!!!
LACK OF RAIN
Only 11.7mms (14%).February was only 36%.
There has not been a drier March locally for at
least 58yrs of Met Office records.
The mean min. temp. was 1.3 above normal, but
clear skies on many occasions led to 10 air &17
ground frosts.
There was only 1 day when snow fell &
next morning snow depth was only 1cm.
