TODAY'S WEATHER CHART LOOKS DECIDEDLY UNPLEASANT & IS NOT TYPICAL OF LATE APRIL. THE CENTRE OF THIS DEEP LOW IS IN THE WESTERN CHANNEL & THE ISOBARS (WHITE LINES) ARE TIGHTLY PACKED AROUND, MEANING STRONG WINDS IN MANY AREAS. THE BLACK LINES WITH RED HALF CIRCLES&BLUE TRIANGLES ON THEM, SHOW THE AREAS WHERE PERSISTENT BANDS OF RAIN ARE OCCURRING..
THINGS LOOK MORE SETTLED OVER THE MEDITERRANEAN & WESTERN ATLANTIC,WHERE HIGH PRESSURE HOLDS SWAY.

WHAT A DISAPPOINTING APRIL AFTER SUCH A LOVELY MARCH!!

THIS PRESSURE CHART IS TO BE FOUND ON BBC WEATHER. THIS SITE HAS A LINK ON THE RIGHT OF THIS PAGE & IS ALWAYS RECOMMENDED TO MY READERS>
