100 years ago, in the early hours of April 15th, 1500 of the 2340 passengers & crew of the TITANIC, drowned in the icy waters of the North Atlantic. This great ship, the pride of the White Star fleet, proclaimed unsinkable because of its 16 water-tight compartments, sank within hours of hitting an iceberg.
