YESTERDAY IN PITLOCHRYMore sunshine than expected, with temperatures responding accordingly, though the air still felt cool out of the sun.
LOCAL AREA OUTLOOK----TUESDAY 22nd to FRIDAY 25th MAY
Pressure is low over Mid-Atlantic & the near continent, with a ridge of high pressure over Britain. Pressure will build by mid-week with a large high over Scandinavia.
The period will be dry. Cloud amounts will vary, with some early mornings starting off with low cloud from off the North Sea. However, there should be good spells of sunshine, perhaps in excess of 15 hrs on the best days. Winds will be mostly light from the SE but stronger by Friday when force 4 or 5 winds are likely. Overnight temperatures should be well-above frost levels, with daytime maxima in the range 18 to 21.
