YESTERDAY IN PITLOCHRYTuesday saw some sunny intervals, but also some cloudy patches producing light showers & gusty winds. There was also a little hail in one or two of the showers. It was cool outside of the sunny intervals.
THE GENERAL WEATHER PATTERN AROUND THE BRITISH ISLES
A high pressure system is briefly in charge over Britain today, but for the rest of the week, low pressure to the south & slow-moving fronts will dominate the picture. NOT MUCH BETTER FOR THE REST OF MAY, with low pressure mainly to the south of Britain. This means NO SETTLED SPELLS LIKELY, JUST THE ODD DAY OR TWO MAINLY DRY WITH SUNNY INTERVALS & NO PROSPECT OF ABOVE AVERAGE TEMPERATURES.
