A very disturbed day of weather!  It is likely to remain wet for part of the morning, but latest radar charts indicate some drier spells at times during the rest of the day, but with the threat of some  further spells of rain on occasions too. High rainfall totals are expected, especially further west of Pitlochry with river levels rising accordingly. It is also expected to be windy, more so this morning, with winds from a SE direction, gusting to force 6  for a time. Though mild this morning, temperatures will start to fall during the afternoon.   TONIGHT should see lighter winds & some dry weather, though showery outbreaks of rain are still likely & could be heavy on occasions. Temperatures are likely to fall to low single figures & a touch of ground frost is possible in prone locations.
