TODAY'S FORECAST FOR PITLOCHRY
At present, weather charts are looking more pessimistic than the actual weather we are likely to receive locally, with a deep area of low pressure never far away from Scotland. So, starting frosty & misty this morning, but with the prospect of a largely dry day, with breaks developing in the cloud, giving some spells of sunshine. Winds force 2 from W or NW & feeling rather cold, with best temperatures close to 7. TONIGHT---mainly dry, risk of an isolated shower, but also clear spells with mist & frost by dawn.

LOCAL AREA OUTLOOK---FRIDAY to MONDAY
Low pressure dominates the situation over Scotland, but though rather cold, there should still be a fair amount of dry weather during the period, punctuated by a few showers, which may be of a wintry flavour on occasions. Winds will be rather variable in direction, but generally in a range force 2 to 4 in strength. There should be some sunny spells, but with clear spells overnight, most days are expected to dawn frosty, with some mist or fog around.
