A WARM WELCOME TO PITLOCHRY WEATHER!
THE ONLY ONLINE WEATHER SERVICE WHERE THE OBSERVER LIVES & RECORDS IN PITLOCHRY, USING PREVIOUS MET OFFICE CLIMATE STATION EXPERIENCE. FORECASTING IS BASED ON MET OFFICE & BBC MATERIAL, WHICH IS THEN TAILORED FOR THE PITLOCHRY AREA, USING LOCAL KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE.

PITLOCHRY TODAY
A frosty start & temperatures only rising by 2 or 3 degrees during daylight hours. It should stay mainly dry for much of today, though there are a few light showers around the region.  During the afternoon, clouds will increase bringing some rain for the latter part of the afternoon & evening. By midnight, the rain should have become lighter & more patchy in nature. Winds will start light, but increase with the rain, as will temperatures which may peak at 5 degrees during the night.

MONDAY---A blustery, showery day, with spells of cloudy, showery weather interspersed with some dry slots & perhaps sunny intervals. Temperatures in a range max.6, min,4 & winds SE to SW force 4 or 5.

TUESDAY---Mainly cloudy, some occasional rain, but also some dry spells.Temp,max6, min4 with winds fresh S to SW


I note from my newspaper that TYNDRUM received 647mms (25.48inches) of rain in December. This is more than Pitlochry had during the entire year in 1973!!
