High pressure is building across Britain, while weak fronts continue to affect the far N & NW of Scotland. The sunniest & warmest conditions will dominate over England & Wales, while Pitlochry remains dry & warm, with spells of sunshine punctuated by more cloudy spells on occasions.

LOCAL AREA OUTLOOK

WEEKEND----It will be dry & settled. Saturday is likely to see an increase in cloud amounts during the afternoon, but that apart, there should be spells of sunshine. Best daytime temperatures should reach in a range 19 to 21. Winds will be up to about force 4 at times on Saturday, but lighter on Sunday, mostly from the SW on both days.

The settled weather is set to hang on for at least a few more days next week, with temperatures rising a little further.
