THE ONLY ONLINE WEATHER SERVICE WHERE THE OBSERVER LIVES & RECORDS IN PITLOCHRY, USING PREVIOUS MET OFFICE CLIMATE STATION EXPERIENCE. FORECASTING IS BASED ON MET OFFICE & BBC MATERIAL, WHICH IS THEN TAILORED FOR THE PITLOCHRY AREA, USING LOCAL KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE.
High pressure continues to dominate the weather over the whole of Britain. Today, however, will be the last day in this settled spell, when winds are in a W. quarter. From tomorrow, with high pressure over or to the north of us, winds will switch into an E. quarter. This will result in East Coast areas becoming cooler (perhaps with some haar), but more western areas becoming warmer & sunnier.
TODAY'S FORECAST FOR PITLOCHRY
The day should stay dry, with sunny spells. It will become very warm, with a maximum of 25 or 26 degrees & light to moderate W to NW winds.  TONIGHT should see clear spells, with minimum temp. rather lower than on many recent nights.

LOCAL AREA OUTLOOK

The weather will remain settled right through 'till the start of next week. Places on & near to the East Coast will notice a cooling off from the recent high temperatures, as winds start to blow from off the North Sea. Pitlochry is also likely to find max. temps. gradually lowering from an initial 25 or higher,  back  towards 20. There is also a risk of some misty low cloud reaching us from the North Sea, particularly overnight & into the first part of the mornings. Nevertheless, there will still be some warm sunshine around.
Any significant rain seems unlikely for some time yet.
