A WARM WELCOME TO PITLOCHRY WEATHER!
THE ONLY ONLINE WEATHER SERVICE WHERE THE OBSERVER LIVES & RECORDS IN PITLOCHRY, USING PREVIOUS MET OFFICE CLIMATE STATION EXPERIENCE. FORECASTING IS BASED ON MET OFFICE & BBC MATERIAL, WHICH IS THEN TAILORED FOR THE PITLOCHRY AREA, USING LOCAL KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE.
High pressure continues to dominate weather south of the Border, but the N & W of Scotland are occasionally in the firing line of weak passing fronts. Pitlochry is likely to be affected by some of the cloud from these fronts during the early part of the week.  (Yesterday, Leuchars reached 23.6.)
TODAY'S FORECAST FOR PITLOCHRY
It will remain dry. Cloud will vary in amount, allowing sunny spells, though not "wall to wall" sunshine. Temperatures are off to a good start & should reach 22 degrees as a maximum. Winds will be force 3 or 4 from the W.   TONIGHT is likely to become cloudy & it is just possible there may be small amounts of rain (but don't put the hosepipe away!). Very mild overnight.

LOCAL AREA OUTLOOK FOR THE WEEK AHEAD

Little, if any, rain is expected. Tuesday & Wednesday are likely to see more cloud than today, as weak fronts to the west have some influence on our area. It will, however, remain rather warm, with moderate winds from a W. quarter. Towards the latter part of the week, the high pressure may build further northwards, giving a boost to both sunshine amounts & temperature.
