LOCAL AREA OUTLOOK----WEDNESDAY to SATURDAY
.High pressure will become established over Britain by mid-week. This will have the effect of killing off the showers & keeping the weather mainly dry for some days, though no great heat is expected. Daytime temperatures should be in the range 16 to 20 degrees. Winds will be mainly light, occasionally moderate & often from the SE. There will be sunshine at times & overall, it will be an improvement on much we have had to endure over June & July. However, the fine spell is unlikely to survive into next week.
Broken cloud with some sunny spells & probably dry this morning. From afternoon & during the evening & night, there is always the risk of the odd heavy shower, though there will also be spells of dry weather with sunny intervals. Many places in the region should miss the showers, but a few will get a heavy downpour. Winds will be light & variable in direction & highest temperatures should reach 18 or 19 degrees. The odd shower may linger into the night.
