HOWEVER, by early evening it is likely to be clouding up, with heavy rain & strengthening winds following.

Pressure is low to the west, giving unsettled conditions initially. The weekend should be rather more settled, though still with the odd shower. It will remain rather warm, with winds from a S quarter, fresh at first, but lighter by the weekend.
