LOCAL AREA OUTLOOK----TUESDAY to FRIDAY
High pressure will become established from mid week, replacing the slack low pressure area that has had a showery potential. Tuesday is likely to be the last of the showery days & thereafter, it should be mainly dry, with broken cloud & some sunshine. Winds will remain light & daytime temperatures should reach in the range 17 to 20. At this stage it would appear that a fine weekend is in prospect.
Only the one short-lived downpour yesterday, around 1745/1800hrs. Many other regions (eg S.E. Scotland) took a hammering on rainfall. Another heavy shower was painfully close just to the south of us in the early hours. Monday should see a mainly dry morning with some sunshine, but the shower risk increases this afternoon & evening, with some heavy, thundery ones around. Localised flooding possible, but some spots largely missing the worst. Feeling quite warm, with light winds.
