TODAY'S FORECAST FOR PITLOCHRY
It proved very disappointing yesterday, but over in the west, KINLOCHEWE reached 24.6, while STORNOWAY had 13.4hrs sunshine (It's often a case of "head west" when settled spells come with winds in an E. quarter).   Sunday finds SE winds somewhat stronger--force 5-- & it seems likely that there will be rather a lot of cloud about, perhaps a few breaks later on. Top temperatures locally around 18 to 20. Tonight is likely to be rather cloudy, though dry & mild.

LOCAL AREA OUTLOOK---MONDAY to THURSDAY
Becoming unsettled, as low pressure to the west becomes the dominant feature. Each day is prone to showers or even longer spells of rain, some being on the heavy side. Each day should also see some dry spells with intervals of sunshine, in which it should feel warm. Both days & nights should see temperatures near or even a little above average. Winds will remain from the SE, mainly around force 3, though stronger on Monday.
