UPDATE @ 1630Hrs
It's been quite a reasonable day, with breaks in the cloud giving some sunny intervals. No showers have affected the area.
The maximum temperature was 16.6, below average for late June & so far this month only 7 days have been above the average.
THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
A bright dry start to the evening, though a sheet of high cloud will later spread from the SW, heralding the approach of a warm front. During the night, this front will bring some mainly light rain to the area. It will be much milder than last night.
OUTLOOK
It will be a changeable weekend, though on the positive side, it should be rather warm. There is likely to be some rain on Saturday morning, improving in the afternoon. Another rain area will affect us for a time on Sunday. The very high temperatures expected on Sunday, will be confined to England, especially the SE. & the NW/SE split in the weather is likely to continue into next week.
