TODAY'S FORECAST FOR PITLOCHRY FROM 1400hrs

Mainly dry with sunny spells, though the radar is showing an isolated shower which could affect Pitlochry around 1500.  The evening & much of the night will be dry & cold, with the thermometer close to freezing & doubtless below on the grass. Before the end of the night, temperatures are likely to rise a little as cloud approaches from the west.

OUTLOOK WED. to SAT

A much more unsettled period of weather as the Jet Stream becomes pronounced between Iceland & Scotland & some very active storm centres develop, especially towards the weekend. Marked swings between mild & colder airstreams seem likely, with very high winds over coasts & mountains, especially in the north & west. Bands of rain are likely, with always the chance of some snowfall at the end of the period,as usual the worst being on higher ground.
