It must have been all excitement in Pitlochry exactly 150 years ago today (1st June 1863).
On this day, trains began to arrive from the south.
Meanwhile, track was being laid further north & by 9th September, it was possible to travel as far north as Aviemore.

On September 9th this year, there are scheduled to be celebrations at the station as a tribute to this important milestone in the town's railway development.

For those who have not visited the station recently, why not look in & see how smart everything looks down there?
