A WARM WELCOME TO PITLOCHRY WEATHER!
THE ONLY ONLINE WEATHER SERVICE WHERE THE OBSERVER LIVES & RECORDS IN PITLOCHRY, USING PREVIOUS MET OFFICE CLIMATE STATION EXPERIENCE. FORECASTING IS BASED ON MET OFFICE & BBC MATERIAL, WHICH IS THEN TAILORED FOR THE PITLOCHRY AREA, USING LOCAL KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE.
Yesterday, some places in the west of Scotland exceeded 23 degrees. Leuchars only made 12.7. Already this morning, it is sunny in Aviemore. East Coast low cloud can be very frustrating & this year, following a cold Spring, being anywhere near that coast, with winds blowing off the sea, is bad news!
TODAY'S FORECAST FOR PITLOCHRY
A low cloud base once again this morning & limited prospects of improvement before mid-afternoon. If the sun does manage to struggle through, then we may see 18 degrees at best. Winds will blow from the SE force 2 to 3. Later tonight, it will become cloudy again. So once again, west is best--at least today.

LOCAL AREA OUTLOOK

TUESDAY will be a transition day to less settled westerly weather. Much of the day should stay dry, perhaps with a few sunny intervals, but during the evening, some light & patchy rain is likely as weak fronts move across the area from the west.
WEDNESDAY may start cloudy with a little rain, but the day should improve, with some sunny intervals later.
