Rather more cloud has spread into the area this afternoon, heralding the end of the settled, sunny, spring-like conditions brought to us by high pressure. Temperatures reached a near-normal 11 degrees earlier on, the best value since late February.

Low pressure will increasingly take over, especially in the first part of next week, allowing more cloud, fresher winds, lower temperatures & an increasing chance of some rain or sleet on occasions.

Ah well!---that's the British weather & we have done better than many places over the last few days.
