TODAY'S FORECAST FOR PITLOCHRY
A chilly start to the day, with frost on the grass earlier on. Essentially a day of sunshine & showers ahead. One or two of the showers may be heavy enough to contain hail or wet snow & a covering of snow is possible on Ben Vrackie & certainly on the Cairngorms. Between any showers, there are likely to be dry spells with some bright sunshine. Feeling rather cold in the showers & out of the sun, with best temperatures hardly into double figures. Winds moderate from W to NW. A chilly night ahead.

LOCAL AREA OUTLOOK
A rather cold weekend in prospect, with maximum temperatures failing to reach double figures. However, there should be a fair amount of dry weather, especially on Saturday, with some decent sunny spells. Sunday promises to be more cloudy, with a greater risk of some showery rain at times.
