TODAY'S FORECAST FOR PITLOCHRY
Overcast throughout the day. There are likely to be spells of snow for much of the time, though sometimes light, with possibly a few dry slots. Perhaps the snow may be heavier for a time this afternoon, with a few cms fresh snow accumulating. On land below about 150ms, the snow will become rather wet in texture later, as temperatures rise a degree or so above zero. Snow should largely die out during this evening & that may well be the end of falling snow for some time!

LOCAL AREA OUTLOOK

WEEKEND--- Winds turning more into the SW, with temperatures higher than of late, with thawing generally accelerating. Saturday morning may see a few showers, though with a drier, brighter afternoon, before some rain overnight.
Sunday will have a mixture of some dry, bright spells, but also a few showers & again more rain later.    River levels are obviously set to rise with the onset of less cold westerly weather, periods of rain, along with melting of recent snowfalls.
