Back to winter, though not as much snow as feared overnight, with snow- clearing quickly dealt with.
The observation always takes a little longer, as a measured amount of hot water needs to be added to snow in the funnel of the raingauge & of course the added amount must then be subtracted to give the correct rainfall equivalent of the snow that fell. (A nightmare job in a big snowfall & prone to inaccuracies)
