There is likely to be more snow at times, especially this morning, though tending to get lighter & patchier later, with some dry spells, even some sunny intervals. Thursday should see less in the way of snowfall & some lengthy dry spells, though it will still be very cold with a chilling wind from the SE.
Problems begin by Friday, as fronts(potentially bringing rain & milder weather from the SW) run into the colder air still stuck over Scotland. There is a likelihood of AMBER or even RED warnings being issued, with significant falls of snow in many areas, accompanied by temperatures close to zero & strong SE winds.
