THE ONLY ONLINE WEATHER SERVICE WHERE THE OBSERVER LIVES & RECORDS IN PITLOCHRY
.Some suggestion that there may have been a very slight snow shower overnight (only a trace in the rain gauge).
Quite large contrasts in weather across Britain yesterday, despite the close presence of high pressure. For example, our area & North East England came off very well both in terms of sunshine & temperature, but parts of Lancashire scarcely made 1 degree in persistent fog. Professional Met Men would be the first to admit that detailed local forecasting during spells of high pressure is not so easy. Broad-brush sweeping statements can be so for days ahead, but the devil is in the local area detail.
