THE ONLY ONLINE WEATHER SERVICE WHERE THE OBSERVER LIVES & RECORDS IN PITLOCHRY
High pressure dominates & barometers should be reading around 1035mbs. Notice the large range of temperature we had between yesterday's maximum & last night's minimum (13 degrees). Being close to a large high pressure system almost invariably guarantees dry weather (though not necessarily wall to wall sunshine).
Winds are usually light too. Highs(or anticyclones) usually hang around for sevsral days, guaranteeing settled weather but not necessarily that it will always be sunny. Some highs, in fact, bring mainly cloudy weather during their stay around Britain, but at least all highs protect the regions they cover from depressions & stormy, unsettled weather----so make the best of this one while it hangs around!!
