Yesterday, Kinlochewe topped 19.3 degrees & today the warmest spots in NW Scotland are expected to reach close on 21 (70 in old currency).  This pattern of temperature contrasts between W & E of Scotland has been a feature of this April, very much reflecting the result of chilly E or SE winds off a cold North Sea & the warming up of places well-sheltered by the Grampians & NW Highlands.
