YESTERDAY'S WEATHER
Cloud soon spread up from the Central Belt & refused to break up, leaving a disappointingly cloudy day. The cloud sheet eventually broke up overnight, leaving clear skies & the inevitable frost.

GENERAL SITUATION
High pressure over the North Sea will continue to give dry, settled conditions over Britain. This will, however, retreat into Europe, allowing a milder SW airflow, with rain-bearing fronts, to take over before mid-week.

PITLOCHRY on SUNDAY
A frosty start, with some valley fog, which may be slow to clear. Apart from some high cloud, there should be a fair amount of clear sky around today--more so than yesterday. Temperatures, however, are not likely to rise much above zero, with frost persisting in the shadows. There will be little in the way of wind.
TONIGHT should be mainly clear & frosty, minimum down to  at least-6, with some valley fog patches.

MONDAY
A frosty start with some fog around. Clear skies generally, though fog slow to clear. Light winds, but highest temperatures struggling around 0 to +1.
