Apart from some morning mist patches, it was a day with generous amounts of sunshine & light winds.
THE GENERAL WEATHER PATTERN AROUND THE BRITISH ISLES
Pressure is high to the south & east of Britain & low over the Atlantic. Barometers have risen considerably over the last 48hrs. Fronts are struggling to advance into western districts from the Atlantic & a "battle ground" between cold air & mild air is set to be played out across the country.
