WEDNESDAY--WARNINGS of STRONG WINDS
Generally rather cloudy, with some showery rain from time to time. There is a deep low pressure system to the north of Scotland & this is resulting in tightly-packed isobars over the country, meaning strong to gale force winds. The worst of the gales are likely to be across the Central Belt (not for the first time this month). Conditions are likely to be that much more severe around Perth, Dundee, Fife & west from there, probably peaking later in the afternoon.
