HEADLINES @ 0900Hrs
No real surprise, as virtually every snow shower over Scotland (most in the NW) is of sleet or snow. The fall here is just about 1cm. Temperatures have remained above zero throughout the night & at 0900Hrs, the thermometer stood at 0.9. Cold for the next couple of days, but no " big freeze" on the horizon.
PITLOCHRY TODAY
Feeling cold, with a W breeze. Snow showers around at first should become less frequent & probably more sleety with time. Some dry spells with a little sunshine too. Maximum temperature 3 or 4.
THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Cold, with a mixture of some clear spells & a few snow showers. A widespread frost, with minimum temperatures down to around -4. Probably a light snow cover by morning
MONDAY
Cold with some dry spells & a little sunshine, but perhaps a few snow showers. Mainly light snow accumulations.
