HEADLINES @ 0900Hrs
Only an odd snow flurry during the evening & night, though we were close to getting a couple of cms from evening showers which fragmented just a few miles to the NW of Pitlochry. ( This sort of thing is quite common, but can't always be relied on---part of the interest in forecasting the uncertain )

PITLOCHRY TODAY
Much of today will see well-broken cloud, some sunshine & just the chance of an isolated snow shower. It will start frosty & remain close to freezing at best. A light to moderate wind from between W & SW.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Becoming more interesting, as a front crosses the area. Cloud increasing later in the afternoon, bringing a spell of  sleet or snow to the area during the evening. Parts above about 200ms are likely to see snow & some accumulation, but the situation at lower altitudes is less certain, with perhaps sleet or wet snow. This should clear later to leave a mainly dry night with just an odd wintry shower & anoyher frost.

WEDNESDAY
A frosty start, but some dry spells with a little sunshine, perhaps punctuated with the odd shower of sleet or snow. Frost again overnight, with another spell of sleet or snow expected.
