HEADLINES @ 0900Hrs
Coldest night to date, though very tame by last year's standards. Yesterday's highest temperature occurred at 0900 this morning (nothing unusual about that), but during the daytime yesterday, the maximum only reached 0.2. Fairly quiet again today.
PITLOCHRY TODAY
A lot of dry weather today, with only a few isolated showers scattered around. There should be some bright or sunny spells too. Winds light to moderate from the SW & maximum temperatures higher than yesterday at about 4.
THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
A generally dry period, with some cloud breaks, allowing for a frost in most places, overnight minimum around -1 or -2.
MONDAY
A nippy start, with some icy patches on untreated surfaces. A mainly dry day, with some bright or sunny spells & maximum temperatures up to about 3. During the evening, it will become cloudy as a new depression moves in from the west. Rain & fresher winds will follow, with England & Wales getting the stronger winds this time.
