HEADLINES @ 1630Hrs
We quickly lost the early rain this morning, but apart from a few small patches of blue sky around 1000H, the day remained stubbornly cloudy, though with well-above average temperatures. The thermometer peaked at 13.1.

THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
Quite a lot of showers are showing up on this evening's radar, so we may catch one or two of these as time goes on. That apart, there should be a fair amount of dry weather around, though it will be mostly cloudy & mild. Temperatures should fall no lower than about 9. There is a decreasing risk of a band of northward- moving rain clipping us later in the night, though only places further east may be affected.

FRIDAY
Just a small risk of rain first thing, but that apart, it should stay mainly dry with perhaps some brighter weather later on. Remaining mild for early November, as temperatures rise to 12 or 13.
