SUNDAY 7th DECEMBER

A WARM WELCOME TO PITLOCHRY WEATHER!
THE ONLY ONLINE WEATHER SERVICE WHERE THE OBSERVER LIVES & RECORDS IN PITLOCHRY, USING PREVIOUS MET OFFICE CLIMATE STATION EXPERIENCE. FORECASTING IS BASED ON MET OFFICE & BBC MATERIAL, WHICH IS THEN TAILORED FOR THE PITLOCHRY AREA, USING LOCAL KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE.

PAST
Having noticed how so much frost lingered on the grass yesterday, it was quite a  surprise to find that by early evening, the indoor temperature receiver from outside, was actually showing 8.8 degrees
The thinnest of warm sectors was passing through, before the arrival of the first snow of the winter by morning!

PRESENT
Some sunny breaks around today, but don't expect the thermometer any better than about 2 or 3.
There will also be some snow showers around the region, though amounts actually settling are likely to be only a couple of millimetres unless you live at over around 250 to 300m. The breeze is likely to pick up & this will accentuate the windchill.

FUTURE
Looking generally unsettled & on the cold side of average (max temp around 3 or 4 & min temp near zero).
Windy on occasions, as deep low pressure centres affect the country.
