THE ONLY ONLINE WEATHER SERVICE WHERE THE OBSERVER LIVES & RECORDS IN PITLOCHRY
Temperatures failed to reach double figures yesterday, but at this time of year, sunshine is more powerful
& "cold" days don't always feel unpleasant.
I was highly amused by yesterday's regular Saturday weather article in my newspaper. The author was reflecting on the extremes of weather experienced over recent years at the GRAND NATIONAL at Aintree, Liverpool.
He identified 2008 as being particularly cold. Channel 4's racing commentator, while interviewing some of the spectators, noticed one young lady dressed in a particularly short mini- skirt & asked if she was feeling the cold.
"No,luv",she replied "I'm wearing two thongs."
Early rain today, but brighter later.Still rather cold, though pleasant in the sunny intervals.
Prospects are very positive for a dry week ahead.
