THE ONLY ONLINE WEATHER SERVICE WHERE THE OBSERVER LIVES & RECORDS IN PITLOCHRY
On average, April is Pitlochry's driest month of the year, the main reason being that areas of high pressure often settle over or near to the British Isles at this time of year & are slow to move away.
Sunday saw a fair amount of bright afternoon sunshine. Nonetheless, the temperature in standard shade siting was little more than 11 degrees, as despite the sun being much higher in the sky now,the airstream was a cool one from a NNW direction.
The outlook for several days promises a good deal of dry weather for Eastern Scotland. Some Western areas, however, are under threat from some persistent rain at the start of the week, as a troublesome front lingers around. The London area may experience some unseasonably high temperatures for a day or two later in the week.
