TODAY'S HIGHEST TEMPERATURE  25.5

What a brilliant day YESTERDAY!!  At a high of 24.1, we were one of the warmest places in Britain.
It has, however, been a clear chilly night (down to 3.9 on the grass ) so a heavy dew. Don't think of mowing the lawn before 1030 or 11.  We are desperately in need of rainfall, gardeners, so another watering this evening would be useful (urgent for baskets & tubs).  For tourists, enjoy while it lasts. Saturday p.m. is a likely time for a spell of rain. An ascent of Ben Vrackie should be very worthwhile, with rewarding views with very good visibility.  Avoid the East Coast today, as temperatures will be lower there & patches of haar are a possibility later.  FRIDAY should be another good day
WEEKEND GUIDE---More cloud & rain later in the day on SATURDAY. Still humid & though feeling rather warm, temperatures will be down somewhat. SUNDAY is expected to be fresher, though despite a shower risk, there should be plenty of dry weather.
TODAY-----Sunny & very warm. Perhaps some patches of cloud pm  Light & variable winds, top temperature 23,  overnight, fine & clear
