THE ONLY ONLINE WEATHER SERVICE WHERE THE OBSERVER LIVES & RECORDS IN PITLOCHRY
As the sun rises higher in the sky with the vernal equinox fast-approaching, lying snow is usually quick to melt
when the sun is shining. This should be the case today, though at present, land around my station still qualifies as a day with snow lying.
High pressure is building from the SW & milder air will be affecting us as we move towards the weekend.
The Aberdeen area is well-placed to possibly peak at 17 degrees by Saturday, but that is because of its geographical position in relation to the Grampians in a mild SW airflow. Unfortunately, this special phenomenon doesn't extend to Pitlochry (but 14 or 15 might be on the cards by then)
