THE ONLY ONLINE WEATHER SERVICE WHERE THE OBSERVER LIVES & RECORDS IN PITLOCHRY
.As I indicated yesterday, conditions were just right for heavy, prolonged rainfall in NW Scotland & indeed the area is left with 40 flood warnings this morning.
It is noteworthy how the fronts that deliver such huge amounts of rain weaken as they eventually move E & S.
Pitlochry rainfall in the past 24 hours has only amounted to 1.4mm. Compare that with the amount measured in the 24 hrs up to 1800hrs last evening at Cluanie Inn, Glenmoriston, in excess of 120mms.
Pitlochry also had its mildest day since last October!
