New York's got its hurricane, Scotland's got an unusually deep depression for August. It's centred off the NE coast & the strongest winds & greatest rainfall totals are likelt to be over the Northern part of the Grampians.
PITLOCHRY TODAY
The area is likely to be close to the southern limit of today's rain, with little if any rain making it down to the Central Belt. It will be much wetter, however, into the high ground to the north. So cloudy throughout in Pitlochry, but with only small amounts of rain, probably less than 5 mms total. There will. however, be a strong NW wind & the highest temperature will only reach 14 degrees
THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
The light & occasional rain should mostly die out during the evening. It should be mostly dry overnight, with winds easing. Lowest temperature about 8 degrees.
OUTLOOK
MONDAY & TUESDAY---A good deal of dry weather, with perhaps the odd shower. Partly cloudy, but some spells of sunshine. Still rather cool, but a touch up on the weekend with lighter winds. Probably chilly nights.
