HEADLINES @ 1745Hrs
It was a rather cloudy day, with a few sunny breaks, but also some mainly light showers, especially around 1600/1700Hrs, this linked to the passage of a weak front. During this afternnoon's sunny intervals, it felt pleasantly warm, the feeling helped by light winds & humid air. However, the maximum temperature of 18.8 was very much in line with average August values.
THIS EVENING & TONIGHT
It should be mostly dry from now on, with a few sunny intervals, followed by some overnight clear spells. Lowest temperatures about 9 degrees.
OUTLOOK
SUNDAY----The day should start dry with some sunshine. A few showers may develop, though the worst of these are more likely further west. Temperatures similar to todays.
MONDAY---should be mainly dry, though rain is expected during the night.
The last of the photographs of Spitsbergen & the sea ice was published this morning.
