TODAY'S FORECAST FOR PITLOCHRY

There was a brief spell of rain around 0800hrs, marking the passage of a southwards- moving cold front.
Pressure is now building from the north, which should help to keep the area mostly dry in the outlook, though with winds off the North Sea, temperatures are expected to be down on recent days.
So today, mostly rather cloudy & further patches of light rain or showers can't be entirely ruled out. There should be brighter spells too, though a few sharper showers may just clip our area during the afternoon, though most will be further east.
Maximum temperatures are likely to be pegged around 16, with winds  swinging into the SE, though only light in strength.  Overnight temperatures should just about hold in double figures, whereas for much of June they have been notably above the normal.
