TODAY'S FORECAST FOR PITLOCHRY
Yet another day when very high rainfall totals are expected over Stirlingshire & Western Perthshire, particularly over the higher ground. Conversely, parts of the East Coast may escape with a largely dry day.
Such days are not the easiest to do "spot forecasting" for an in-between location such as Pitlochry, but as an approximate guide I would think that amounts of rain here might be little more than 5% of that falling in such areas as The Trossachs & Crianlarich, so that a fall of 50mm there would likely give around 2 to 4 mms here. Such a formula, however, would be subject to great volatility!.
So, in summary, generally cloudy, occasional rain (mostly light).
