A WARM WELCOME TO PITLOCHRY WEATHER!
THE ONLY ONLINE WEATHER SERVICE WHERE THE OBSERVER LIVES & RECORDS IN PITLOCHRY, USING PREVIOUS MET OFFICE CLIMATE STATION EXPERIENCE. FORECASTING IS BASED ON MET OFFICE & BBC MATERIAL, WHICH IS THEN TAILORED FOR THE PITLOCHRY AREA, USING LOCAL KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE.

TODAY'S FORECAST FOR PITLOCHRY
The Shipping Forecast (0520 R4 )  warned of most areas expected to have winds between force 8 to 10 &
already this morning, Cairngorm Summit has seen a peak gust of 112mph---so best not sail or climb mountains.
Unfortunately, staying- in is the best option, with moderate to heavy rain for much of the day, with strong winds, especially at first.
The best part of the day is likely to be in the last few hours before darkness descends,when at least it should have become mostly dry with even the sun putting in an ironical appearance.

TUESDAY--- More of the same, though the rain should be generally lighter. Winds will be blowing from a westerly quarter & probably lighter in strength.
