TODAY'S FORECAST FOR PITLOCHRY
Yesterday, I said that for possibly approaching 2 weeks, there would be little or no rainfall.
AHEAD.--- LITTLE IF ANY RAIN. THE BEST DAYS MAY HAVE SUNNY SPELLS (THOUGH " WALL TO WALL"
.

Don't worry, I haven't changed my mind!! However, I also added that it was difficult to forecast cloud amounts & overnight temperatures, which, especially overnight, are very much linked ( The more cloud, the higher the overnight temperature & at this time of year, with settled weather + clear skies, ground frost is usually a likely consequence ( the record low AIR temperature in Pitlochry between 1976 & 2014 was actually in 1995 (minus
2.5). LOOK BELOW WHAT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT!
MAX.TEMP 17 WIND LIGHT & VARIABLE TONIGHT between 3 & 8 (totally depending on how much cloud around)-- Any specific figure is too much of a guess.
AHEAD.--- LITTLE IF ANY RAIN. THE BEST DAYS MAY HAVE SUNNY SPELLS (THOUGH " WALL TO WALL"
IS HIGHLY UNLIKELY. THE GREATEST THREAT OF A " POOR" DAY WOULD MOST LIKELY BE LOW CLOUD ORIGINATING OVER THE NORTH SEA. IN THESE CIRCUMSTANCES (ESPECIALLY IF THERE IS NO IMPROVEMENT BY MID-MORNING), MOVING WEST MAY FIND THE SUN.
