It's one of those glorious days of winter (far too few in number), with a cloudless sky, respectable afternoon temperature & lying snow confined to the highest ground.  It can't last---it won't last---but it was nice while it did last.

FURTHER OUTLOOK----SKIES MORE CLOUDY, PERHAPS SHROUDING THE HILLS AT TIMES. WINDS FRESHENING TO GIVE A WIND CHILL FACTOR. FEELING COLD & SOMETIMES RAW. PERHAPS A FEW SNOW FLURRIES LATER, THOUGH AT PRESENT NO WIDESPREAD SNOW SEEMS LIKELY.

TODAY'S FORECAST FOR PITLOCHRY
A very frosty start, but with blue skies & sunshine once again. The sunshine should last for the best part of the day, but later in the afternoon, it is expected to become more cloudy from the east, heralding several days of colder & cloudier conditions with fresher winds, as high pressure becomes established to the north & north east.
Temperatures today should reach about 4 or 5 eventually, though take a couple of hours to get above freezing.  It should remain  just above freezing overnight, due to an extensive  low cloud cover.

Cloud should be well-broken throughout & temperatures should rise to a near normal 6 to 7 degrees, with only light breezes. More frost is likely overnight.


TUESDAY---Another dry day is expected, though perhaps more cloud later in the day. Still near-normal temperatures & light breezes.
